     Welcome, I’m Jack Lockwood the Founder / Chief Investigator of the Litchfield / Springfield Ghost Trackers. I have been doing ghost or, paranormal investigations since 1972 and I am very serious about this work. But this by all means, does not mean we leave our sense of humor at home.

       We abide by all local trespassing laws. At NO time will the LGT  perform any investigations without permission by property owners or governing agencies. This especially pertains to any and all cemeteries. This applies to any and all LIGTG members.  We do not solicit locations for investigations at any time. If an owner of a location would believe they have some type of paranormal activity, they will need to request our assistance.  

   As a research group, we do not charge a fee to a client. We collect evidence and attempt to explain this type of phenomena with scientific and unconventional means. We collect evidence to attempt to explain this type of phenomena, and an explanation for their activity. It can be very time consuming, sometimes with little results if any at all. At times it may be necessary to do allot of leg work doing research and a history on a location. We consider all possibilities including natural phenomena, and in most cases, this will be the case.

  The client’s privacy is a top priority and no information will leave the group unless specified by the client in writing. We will at all times respect their home and property.  When doing an interview, we only request to speak to persons directly connected with the activity.  We are trained and cross-trained on our equipment.   

   We do attempt to visit a location in the day time so that we will know where all obstacles may be that could cause a hazard in low light or dark conditions. We also try to make maps and identify where these hazards are located, especially, in outdoor locations that can be dangerous to our Investigators.

   We can also provide a clearing of the location if the client so desires.

What We Do

     First of all, it is important to remember that in most cases, if you haven't been harmed by an entity, you won't be. Naturally, it's human to fear these things because the average person doesn't understand the events going on in their home. In the majority of these cases, humans are rarely harmed by a ghost. Again, this is very, very, rare in any case.  Secondly, clients fear that they may be, as they put it, crazy! We help to eliminate that fear as well. Finally, if the client prefers not to have any information pertaining to their situation released, their confidentiality is closely guarded by our group.  

     We assist home and property owners who believe the may have a haunting at no cost. All cases are confidential. We use the data collected for research purposes. We use scientific methods and unconventional methods at times.  In most cases we can provide ease of mind ot clients by showing them that their paranormal situation is normal. If we find it to be a haunting, we provide resources that can be used to eliminate their situation. In most cases, their paranormal activity is something normal.

About The Organizer 

    I have been a paranormal investigator since 1972. I grew up in Alton, Illinois. In 1966 at the age of 19, I was drafted into the Army and discharged after one reenlistment and 4 years service. I spent a tour in Germany and Vietnam. In 1979, I became a Paramedic and on to an Industrial Paramedic for outside construction. I finished my career as a freelance Safety Coordinator mostly for the Petrochemical field. In 1999, I was permanently sidelined due to an injury and went on disability but still active.
