From time to time, we come across things that make you want to say "Huuuum?" This page is dedicated for that purpose. However, these are my views exclusively. This page will be updated as subject matter comes in.

Frank’s Box
Frank’s Box: Frank Sumption is the original inventor of the ghost box, or, known as "Frank's Box". He created the device as a means of communicating with intelligent spirits, angels and spirit guides. However, this device is being tested by paranormal investigators around the world and, creating allot of enthusiasm within the paranormal community.
Frank's Box scans AM and FM frequencies in a continuous fashion, creating white noise, which people believe spirits can use to communicate. The box is said to be interactive because you can ask questions directly to the spirits and receive replies from them in real time. Frank Sumption’s ghost box is made with radio, electric and computer components. The first box was made in 2002, after allegedly being prompted to do so from the spirit world. At that time, he made around 3 dozen, and gave a few of them out to selected participants to be tested to see if the box could, indeed, be used to communicate with spirits from the other side.
Recently, Christopher Moon appeared on Paranormal State, featured on A & E, and used what he termed "the telephone to the dead". Mr. Sumption had given him one of his devices to test out, and since then Mr. Moon has begun charging clients who want to communicate with “passed-over relatives” and other spirits, using his telephone to the dead. It has been said, that Frank Sumption does not agree with Mr. Moon's practices of charging people while using his creation, and that it was never intended for such use.
I agree with Mr. Sumpton. This is a sad practice to take advantage of people that are more than likely still going through the grief process. In many cases it takes families many years to complete this process. In the same, Mr. Sumpton gave him the device to test so, in saying that, it’s still in its experimental stages. You can’t market something that is in its experimental. What would happen if the FDA would do that? This takes me back to my research on Physical Research and all of the frauds that were taking advantage of grieving families of the 19th century. However, I am in no way accusing Mr. Moon of being a charlatan; he appears to be a knowledgeable researcher. Do I believe they work? I have no idea but, I’d like the opportunity to experiment with one.

The K 2 meter is relatively new to the arsenal of paranormal research tools. There is much hype as to how great and, all of the success that some paranormal investigators, have had with it. I purchased one to experiment with. In its defense, it is reasonably priced and, the 5 LED lights, (2 green, yellow, red and orange) on the miliGauss detection range, is a plus in total darkness.
On the downside, it can’t be used at a location, if there are any two-way radios present. Our team uses marine band radios on our investigations. Anytime the command center tried to contact a member, the K2, would go ballistic, in a manner that is supposed to indicate that a spirit is angry or confused (according to its documentation). It reacts in the same manner with AM walkie-talkies. This is a drawback when investigating large or outdoor locations.
It has been claimed, that not only can it detect high emf levels but, spirits can interact with its user. The user simply remarks that if a spirit wants to communicate, all it has to do is make 1 light illuminate for “Yes”, and two lights illuminate for “No”. Whatever happened to the long held theory that spirits don’t act on queue? However, things change in this field so; I’ll leave that question “open”.
On occasions when our evidence suggests that there is possibly a presence, we start testing the meter. There were two occasions when, during a questioning session, it wouldn’t respond as the documentation stated but, our Tri-Field and EXTECH 480823 Digital, did!
So, I will leave it at this, credible investigators claim that it works so, I’m going to keep experimenting with it. At this point, I’m not quite convinced.
